A leading provider of custom industrial air handling and HVAC solutions is looking for a CAD Design Manager to lead and mentor the design engineering team, oversee CAD and product design, and help improve design and manufacturing processes.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and mentor the design engineering team
- Manage product design
- Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing teams
- Develop and maintain mechanical design standards
- Ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability
- Review project performance and identify improvements
- Maintain technical drawings, product designs, and assembly instructions
- Keep CAD software, tools, and design techniques up to date
- Identify new opportunities to expand CAD capabilities
- Experience with sheet metal and structured steel preferred
- Experience with welding/riveting applications
- CAD and SolidWorks experience
