Who They Are
Our client is a 90 year industry leader in NYC commercial real estate relocation and installation. They are seeking a project manager to cover work across Fortune 100/500 companies in the NYC metro. This is a work hard, play hard opportunity that is client facing and will require 70% of your time on job sites to ensure project execution. Compensation is very competitive and will offer a salary in the mid to upper $100K range.

What You’ll Do
  • Plan, execute, and oversee all phases of the project lifecycle from initiation to completion.
  • Formulate pricing for proposals based on the scope of work provided by the client.
  • Create schedules/calendars for delivery/installation activities.
  • Confirm that Certificates of Insurance and other requirements are in force at project locations.
  • Confirm that permits (after-hours, street off-load) are obtained by the contractor and in force for the duration of the project.
  • Confirm building access and elevator reservations for all deliveries.
  • Perform a “take-off” of the floor plan and compares it to the manufacturer’s bill of material
  • Confirms that all required material has been ordered; adjusts accordingly.
  • Provide installation drawings to carpenters, electricians, and other vendors as necessary.
  • Prepare tags that direct distribution and staging for materials during delivery.
  • Submit BOL in a timely manner to secure labor for each project.
  • Supervise delivery and installation labor to maintain an efficient pace of scope completion, meet project budget/deadlines, and maintain labor harmony.
  • On a project basis, create specifications for proposed add-ons or reconfigurations and places
  • SnapTracker (inventory) order for available material.
  • Maintain documentation for project close-out and reconciliation.
  • Coordinate Day 2 activities, as needed.

What You’ll Need
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience with a proven track record in furniture project management in a construction environment.
  • Ability to effectively enforce SLAs & SOPs with clients and maintain positive relationships.
  • Upholds customer service standards.
  • Solid knowledge of furniture manufacturers’ systems and ancillary commercial furniture
  • OSHA 30 and SST +10 are preferred but not required.
