A Long History of Excellence
The company now known as The Bridger Group was first founded in 1967 under the name Sales Consultants of Grand Rapids, a franchise of Management Recruiters International. Our mission was simple: find and recruit the best sales talent for the construction and building products industries.
Dave Underwood joined the firm in 1970, purchasing it in the late 70s and eventually selling it to his sons, Nick and Jordan, in 2015.
Since our start nearly 60 years ago, our team has turned The Bridger Group into the largest single-site search firm in the building materials industry. We’re now ranked on the list of the top 50 recruitment firms nationally.
Our mission is similar to six decades ago, but we’ve dreamed bigger. We are now industry-specific expert recruiters for companies in building products, commercial interiors, residential interiors, and related industries. We pair top talent with the right roles across business functions and departments, from sales team members to organizational leaders to the C-suite.
And as a second-generation company with a growing team of nearly 40 employees—including recruiters, operations, and researchers—we’re just getting started.
