Who They Are
We’re working with a structural wood panel products company known for having one of the strongest teams in the Southeast US, very low turnover, and a culture where people typically only leave their roles for internal promotions. Last year this is was highest preforming territory and is still ripe for growing more. Compensation is solid with a strong six-figure base plus bonus structure, and the team has consistently been outperforming targets. They’re looking for someone to provide effective sales, broad promotion and total market development for their residential products to their assigned territory.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage and grow a sales territory
  • Identify key influencers and strategic customers and distribution partners
  • Engage with framers, contractors and architects on active job sites
  • Win specifications through product presentations, AIA learning credit sessions and technical support
  • Maintain updated 8-week call plan and Account Management Plan for assigned territory
  • Participate in ongoing activities including conference calls, marketing efforts, inventory levels, new products and customer feedback
  • Prepare, monitor and maintain annual promotional budget for the assigned region with quarterly updates
  • Travel throughout the assigned territory, as necessary, to visit key clients

What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field from an accredited institution
  • Knowledge of residential and light commercial building practices and applications is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated record of success selling to architects of single, multi-family and light commercial structures
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Motivated self-starter attitude with problem-solving ability
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an acute ability to develop strong relationships with customers
  • Willingness to travel overnight within the territory for multiple nights at a time, if needed
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs and good analytical, software and computer skills
