Who They Are
We’re working with North America’s largest manufacturer and distributor of interior millwork that produces and sells interior finishings. They have steadily grown their footprint and industry leadership for nearly 100 years, helping people transform houses into homes. They’re hiring for a Territory Manager to build relationships with lumberyards and building supply companies while understanding their business needs and developing a deep knowledge of the company’s millwork/molding products. This role will require travel between Connecticut, Central and Western Massachusetts, and North of New York City. The ideal candidate would be based somewhere between Springfield, MA and New Haven, CT.

What You’ll Do
  • Drive sales, margin, and overall customer relationships with the accounts in the assigned region
  • Generate new accounts in the assigned region and determine potential growth within existing accounts.
  • Seek out new profitable opportunities while safeguarding our current business, ensuring both short-term and long-term financial gains for the branch.
  • Achieve sales targets that are in line with the financial and customer targets of the branch/region.
  • Ensure the company enters a market where it can profitably secure a leading market share by fostering close customer relationships.
  • Effectively represent the company’s interests when dealing with customers, the community, employees and suppliers.

What You’ll Need
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience selling doors is required
  • Experience dealing with purchasing agents, senior buyers and small business owners
  • A passion for customer service and enjoy building rapport with prospective and existing customers
  • A desire to keep learning, growing your knowledge and skills while being highly analytical
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and effective time management to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in web-based computer systems (SAP, HubSpot and Microsoft Office Suite – Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • A valid driver’s license for business travel purposes.
  • Experience selling or dealing with customers in construction / building materials (flooring, concrete, millwork, etc.) is preferred
  • Experience building relationships with lumberyards and building supply companies is preferred
