DJ has a diverse background in accounting spanning grain (farm), for-profit, not-for-profit, fraud, valuation, audit and governmental. He enjoys bringing that background back to the classroom as a professor of accounting, finance, and business at Davenport University, where he has taught since 2016. His many years of experience in both public and private accounting means he has the ability to quickly understand the flow of transactions. He has a keen interest in technology and when he isn’t working, he upgrades and tinkers with his many servers and computers at home. DJ loves spending time with his wife Alyse and their 2 kids. He stays active coaching little league and enjoys playing softball. He’s an accomplished musician (plays saxophone) and artist (pencil, paint, and photography). He loves to give back to the community by running a volunteer income tax assistance site and has done so since 2012.
